An easy way to compile and install GIMP and other great Free software on your Mac is by using Macports. The installer allows you to choose from a large directory of packages. To install gimp using Macports, you simply do sudo port install gimp once you have Macports installed.

The flatpak link above should open your software installer and prompt you to install GIMP. Yet it may not work out-of-the-box on some platforms since the flatpak technology is new. If that is the case, ensure flatpak is installed and if clicking the link still does not prompt to install GIMP, then manually install by command line:

Once installed, it will be made available exactly the same way as other applications (menus, desktop overview, or any specific application launch process used by your desktop).

An easy way to compile and install GIMP and other great Free software on your Mac is by using Macports. The installer allows you to choose from a large directory of packages. To install gimp using Macports, you simply do sudo port install gimp once you have Macports installed.
Last we checked, the GIMP port file pointed to the current stable release and we have reports from people who’ve built GIMP successfully this way. Homebrew
Homebrew is similar to Macports and provides packages (aka formulas) to install, either by compiling them from source or by using pre-made binaries. There are indications that there is now a formula for GIMP, installable with: brew tap homebrew/cask && brew cask install gimp.

Fink is a package repository that offer mostly precompiled binaries. It provides the apt-get command known to e.g. Debian and Ubuntu users, and installing GIMP is as easy as sudo apt-get install gimp once you have installed the Fink installer.
If there’s no binary package, then fink install gimp will compile GIMP from source.

In order to get these to show and also to have access to all the other georgeous 422 codecs and other goodies, download the new QT codec pack: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1396
Then use the little app UNPKG ( http://www.timdoug.com/unpkg/ ) to unpack the contents by simply dragging the downloaded PKG codec pack onto the app window. This then unpacks on the desktop. Inside navigate the folders until you get to the QT .component files.
Next, drag these into your Library/Quicktime/ folder and then you’ll have the LT codecs ( and many others) to use in FCP 6 and all other apps like Streamclip, QT Pro etc. (I would recommend renaming the existing ones in case of problems of course)
I’ve done a test with it and it works like a charm on my Mac Pro running 10.6.7 and FCP 6.0.6. I’m not able to create an LT sequence but if you create a new one and then drag the material on with the prompt enabled to match settings it will make an LT sequence. I was also able to render out a 422 LT clip from QT Pro and Streamclip to use in the project. All the correct 422 labels also show in the codec lists in all encoding apps.
If you try and install the QT pack on anything not FCP X it will give you an error but this manual installation gets around the Apple Police and their insistence you buy everything new the minute it comes out! Championship Manager: Season 03/04 is the last Sports Interactive edition of the successful series. The game retains all the features of Championship Manager 4, but improves on many of them, with a host of new features added too: Improved Media Module; Player to player relationships; Updated data for 03/04 Season.
I love this series and feel that Championship Manager 2008 is a solid entry. This along with Football Manager have stolen so much of my life over the years. The version we are looking at today was released in 2007 and while it may not have changed the game in any way, I do feel that this was a really fun game and features some very interesting team rosters. One thing I have to admit is that from a presentational point of view, this game is incredibly basic. To be fair, most other football management games were like this. These days we have a full 3D match engine and dynamic menus and so on, but back in 2007, things were kept much more basic and simpler. It is not bad, but it can be hard to go back to if you have played a modern football management game. Also, the soundtrack is really bad, so bad that I advise you to turn it off and listen to your own music.
I think that Championship Manager 2008 has held up very well over the years. The inclusion of being able to manage an international team is cool. Also, while I did not do this, you can play this in multiplayer which sounds pretty interesting. I do feel that newer games offer more than this one does, but if you love football, I would still say this is worth checking out.

The DNAGedcom Client (“DGC”) is a new Windows and Mac application that runs on a user’s machine. It will import AncestryDNA data into a Matches csv file and an Ancestors of Matches csv file. In addition, the Windows
The Windows version also includes the capability to download 23andMe data as well as the new Shared Matches (ICW) from Ancestry.
A Mac version can be downloaded here: http://www.dnagedcom.com/app/DNAGedcom.app.zip. The 23andMe and ICW features will be added to the Mac version in the near future.
FTDNA and other capabilities will be added in the future.
In order to give our users the best and easiest service we can provide, this client app will be available by subscription only. Monthly rates to become a subscriber is $5.00. Instructions
To install the DNAGedcom Client, login to DNAGedcom.com. Go to the Members tab and in the drop down menu, click on Subscriber Information.
You will be taken to a page to the subscriber page, where you can add a subscription. You can make your payment through PayPal for a recurring $5.00 per month or an annual subscription for $50.
Download Curse Addon Client
After doing your subscription, it can take up to 30 minutes for the subscription to be processed. Once it is processed, you will see a link to the DNAGedcom Client tool as shown above. Follow this link to http://www.dnagedcom.com/app/publish.htm.
Curse Client Version 5
If you are sure you already have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 or greater installed, you can click on the Launch link to launch the application, otherwise, click “install”. After clicking on “Install”, a setup.exe file will be downloaded to your computer. You may get a warning, please accept/keep the download. Save to a folder you will remember, then click on the setup.exe file to install the app. Again, you may get a warning, please allow the installation file to run.
After installing, you will be able to run the program from your start menu under DNAGedcom / DNAGedcom
Using the DNAGedcom Client
Mac games download website. After selecting DNAGedcom Client from your start menu, a small box will come up verifying the application. It may also ask you to confirm an update. When it opens the first time, you will be asked for your DNAGedcom log in and password to verify your subscription. An incorrect DNAGedcom username or password will cause the program to end. After verifying your subscription, you will be taken to the main page where you will see two selections: “Options” and “Ancestry”. Select “Options” to choose a folder location where to download the output files. Then “Save”. Use the little back arrow in the upper left to go back to the main page. Then select “Ancestry”.
